Shower Base Tile Installation

In our project we set the tile for the wall opposite the shower door first.
Shower base tile installation. Draw a leveled line where the bottom of the second row will fall. If you want fancy glass tile accents like the ones we show brace yourself. The primary goal of the shower base is to create a sloped floor angled toward the drain so the waste water flows efficiently into the pipes.
Bathroom costs approximately 1 000 1 500 to demo and install new floor tile and tub surround. Save time by setting several tiles at once. This will provide a straight edge for the tile to follow and help.
The shower tiling alone will take two days. If the shower base is uneven tiles will have to be cut to fit the last row. Shower tile and shower tiling supplies will cost about 600 if you choose standard tile.
Temporarily place tiles along the wall sitting on top of the tile spacers. How to tile a shower like we show here will take you about four full days. Attach a straight board to the backer board along the line.
Begin the bathroom tile installation with the second row up from the bottom. Place tile spacers flat side down along the shower base where it meets the shower base flange. The average 5 ft.
On the ceiling and floor of the shower we used 2 x 2 tiles and on shower walls 2 x 4 tiles.
