Stuck Shower Valve

I have a severly stuck shower valve so much that it is very difficult to pull out to turn on the water.
Stuck shower valve. For example when your bathtub faucet is combined with your shower a shower converter is attached. As you replace your shower valve work carefully to make sure you don t forget any important details. If your shower valve is damaged beyond repair you may need to replace it to prevent leaks.
A stuck shower cartridge is a real bumme. Use a cartridge puller to remove a stuck cartridge from a shower valve you turn the water off dissemble the faucet handle to expose the cartridge and then pull the cartridge out. If the shower faucet diverter is stuck because the washers are old and have broken or the plastic valve diverter inside the pipe has broken then it is time to replace the faucet itself.
When you intend to use the shower you can have water coming out because it blocks the tub faucet. In reality you will find more often than not that the cartridge is stuck and despite your best efforts will not budge. Removing your old valve and installing a new one can take time but with patience a novice handyman can do it without the help of a plumber.
The diverter is not an overly expensive mechanism to buy and replacing it may be easier than attempting to fix it. Shower diverter is a valve which controls water flow to a particular outlet.
